WHAT IS CONTROLLING YOUR MIND?

Those who are dominated by the sinful nature think about sinful things, but those who are controlled by the Holy Spirit think about things that please the Spirit. So letting your sinful nature control your mind leads to death. But letting the Spirit control your mind leads to life and peace. For the sinful nature is always hostile to God. It never did obey God’s laws, and it never will. That’s why those who are still under the control of their sinful nature can never please God. (Romans 8:5-8 NLT)

Are you dominated by your sinful nature? If so, you really need a spiritual overhauling. Else, your entire life will be destroyed.

We need to move into the paradigm of being dominated by the spirit of Christ, who alone can lead us in the right direction.

How to get out of the dominance of the sinful nature?

1. You should remember, as long us we live in this world, there will be a constant struggle between our flesh(sinful nature) and the spirit.

2. So, wilfully and consciously commit yourself to God and surrender your life totally to His control.

3. Believe in the Holy Spirit. Trust Him and follow / obey His instructions no matter how simple or silly it looks. Obedience to the Holy Spirit is the key to stay away from troubles.

4. Constantly feed yourself with the healthy food which is a desperate need for your inner-man. God's word is the best and foremost healthy food u can eat. The supplements can be the spiritual songs, messages, magazines, articles, godly fellowships,  etc...

5. Run away from the Junk that corrupts your mind and erode your spiritual values and growth, even without your knowledge. Eg, unwanted gossip, worldly entertainments that will slowly induce lust without your knowledge, contradictory write ups, unhealthy arguments, sedentary lifestyle etc..

6.There is no replacement for the personal time with God. More the time we spend with Him, more our inner transformation to be like Him will be.

The world needs good Role-models. You are called and chosen to be a Godly Role-model.

This is possible only when you are controlled by the Holy Spirit. Say 'NO' to the sinful nature and 'YES' to the Holy Spirit. You will surely be a success. May God bless you.

Struggles

(Lamentations 3:26-30 GNT)

It is good to wait patiently for the Lord to save us.

When we are young, it is good to struggle hard and to sit silently alone, if this is what the Lord intends.

Being rubbed in the dirt can teach us a lesson; we can also learn from insults and hard knocks.

Pray for Peace and Work hard

Pray for peace in Babylonia and work hard to make it prosperous. The more successful that nation is, the better off you will be. (Jeremiah 29:7 CEVUS06)

Wherever (place of living or Organisation to work) The Lord has kept you now, work hard to give your best for its growth. You may be a stranger in your current place of work or may be living in a foreign land. But, still The Lord has His own plan and purpose in doing that. You are here where you are for a reason and to not by accident. Don't be confused over your decision to work in your current workplace or stay.

Instead, start giving your best in maintaining highest level of productivity, building good relationship with others, helping others etc. Also Pray and promote peace. Be a person of peace with everyone or be a peacemaker in this troubled world, so that you will also be prosperous and peaceful.

Have a productive and peaceful week ahead...

YOUR PRESENCE IN GOD's PRESENCE

Then King David went into the Tent of the Lord's presence, sat down and prayed, “Sovereign Lord, I am not worthy of what you have already done for me, nor is my family. (2 Samuel 7:18 GNT)

Points to ponder:
1.Went into the Tent of the Lord's presence
2.Sat down
3.Prayed

Are you too busy to go,sit and spent time with The Lord? Compare the time we get to spend for eating with that of the time we spend for personal time with God.

Fast food is not healthy all the time and will do harm in the longer run. So is your lifestyle.. If you continue to be busy without giving proper time for reading and meditating the word of God, your soul starves of nutrition and can break down any moment.

If you are weak in your soul and spirit, you will never have the strength, confidence and stamina to face the difficulties of life. Better correct your lifestyle now, before it becomes too late..

God is longing to have fellowship with you.
