30 SEPT 2014, WORD4ALL: KEEP ON LOVING...

KEEP ON LOVING...

(Hebrews 6:11-12 NLT)
# Our great desire is that you will keep on loving others as long as life lasts,
# in order to make certain that what you hope for will come true.
# Then you will not become spiritually dull and indifferent.
# Instead, you will follow the example of those who are going to inherit God’s promises because of their faith and endurance.

@ Showing love to others in all situations is practically a tougher job to do.
@ But then, that should be our spiritual goal and standard.
@ It is not possible unless we have the endurance to pursue whenever we fail.
@ Pursuing this goal will make us spiritually more active and strong.
@ Remember, how much Jesus was loving and patient with us, specially in our failures.
@ Freely we received, freely we should give others.
@ No one is perfect including us. So, let's keep on loving others even in their shortcomings..

29 SEPT 2014, WORD4ALL:BETTER THINGS

BETTER THINGS

(Hebrews 6:9-10 NLT)
# We are confident that you are meant for better things,
# things that come with salvation.
# For God is not unjust.
# He will not forget how hard you have worked for Him and
# how you have shown your love to Him by caring for other believers, as you still do.

@ God has called us to be a blessing to others.
@ Our love for God should be shown by the love we show to others; not in words alone. But by caring for them in all possible ways.
@ Caring & Sharing demands a sacrificial lifestyle.
@ Caring & Sharing for others will show the depth of our love towards Christ.
@ Let's work hard to make this as our lifestyle;
@ Let's continue to reflect His love, which is the outcome of our salvation.
@ God will not forget our good works. He will surely reward us. So, don't give up. Keep going..

27 SEPT 2014, WORD4ALL:  BLESSING or CURSE?

BLESSING or CURSE?

(Hebrews 6:7-8 GNT)
# God blesses the soil which drinks in the rain that often falls on it and
# which grows plants that are useful to those for whom it is cultivated.
# But if it grows thorns and weeds, it is worth nothing;
# it is in danger of being cursed by God and
# will be destroyed by fire.

% Every single thing that we have in this life, is given by God (like the rain on the soil)
% Is our life a blessing to others? (Like plants) OR
% Are we too self centered?
% Self centered life is insensitive to other's needs and often inflicts hurts and pain in other's life. (thorns & weeds)
% Such kind of life is in danger of being cursed by God and destruction.
% Cross check your life. Be a blessing to others.

26 SEPT 2014, WORD4ALL:  NAILING ONCE AGAIN.

NAILING ONCE AGAIN.

(Hebrews 6:4-6 NLT)

# those who were once enlightened
# those who have experienced the good things of heaven and shared in the Holy Spirit,
# who have tasted the goodness of the word of God and the power of the age to come— and

# who then turn away from God.
# It is impossible to bring such people back to repentance;
# by rejecting the Son of God,
# they themselves are nailing him to the cross once again and
# holding him up to public shame.

@ Salvation is not by our deeds. It is purely by God's grace through faith.
@ So, what we gained by God's grace.. Let us not take it for granted or despise it.
@ Let's be careful NOT TO NAIL HIM AGAIN by turning away from God and slip down into an irrevocable situation like Judas....
@ Continue to depend on God's grace and mercy for living a God pleasing life.
@ Enjoy the spiritual freedom with greater reverence for God.

19 SEPT 2014, WORD4ALL:  MOVE BEYOND

MOVE BEYOND

(Hebrews 6:1-2 NIV)

# Therefore let us move beyond the elementary teachings about Christ and
# be taken forward to maturity,
# not laying again the foundation of repentance from acts that lead to death, and of faith in God,
   # instruction about cleansing rites,
   # the laying on of hands,
   # the resurrection of the dead, and
   # eternal judgment.

18 SEPT 2014, WORD4ALL:  CHRIST OUR HIGH PRIEST

CHRIST OUR HIGH PRIEST

(Hebrews 4:14-16 NLT)

# So then, since we have a great High Priest who has entered heaven, Jesus the Son of God,
# let us hold firmly to what we believe.
# This High Priest of ours understands our weaknesses,
# for He faced all of the same testings we do, yet He did not sin.
# So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God.
# There we will receive His mercy, and
# we will find grace to help us when we need it most.

17 SEPT 2014, WORD4ALL:  GOD'S REST

GOD'S REST

(Hebrews 4:6, 9-11 NLT)

# So God’s rest is there for people to enter,
# but those who first heard this good news failed to enter because they disobeyed God.
# So there is a special rest still waiting for the people of God.
# For all who have entered into God’s rest have rested from their labors, just as God did after creating the world.
# So let us do our best to enter that rest.
# But if we disobey God, as the people of Israel did, we will fall.

16 SEPT 2014, WORD4ALL:  EXPOSED

EXPOSED

(Hebrews 4:12-13 NLT)

# For the word of God is alive and powerful.
# It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow.
# It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires.
# Nothing in all creation is hidden from God.
# Everything is naked and exposed before His eyes, and
# He is the one to whom we are accountable.

@ None of us can hide anything from the eyes of God, no matter what we think or do.
@ No one is insulated from the penetrating power of God's word.
@ We are accountable to God. So let's be careful about our life.

15 SEPT 2014, WORD4ALL:  CLEAN & UNCLEAN

CLEAN & UNCLEAN

(Mark 7:15, 18-23 GNT)

# There is nothing that goes into you from the outside which can make you ritually unclean.
# Rather, it is what comes out of you that makes you unclean.
# Jesus said to them. “Don't you understand?
# Nothing that goes into you from the outside can really make you unclean, because it does not go into your heart but into your stomach and then goes on out of the body.”
(In saying this, Jesus declared that all foods are fit to be eaten.)
# And He went on to say, “It is what comes out of you that makes you unclean.
# For from the inside, from your heart, come the evil ideas which lead you
  * to do immoral things,
  * to rob,
  * kill,
  * commit adultery,
  * be greedy, and
  * do all sorts of evil things;
     deceit, indecency, jealousy, slander, pride, and folly—
# all these evil things come from inside you and make you unclean.”

Be watchful to remain CLEAN..
