11 DEC 2014, WORD4ALL: CHAMPIONS OF FAITH:- 8. JACOB

CHAMPIONS OF FAITH:- 8. JACOB

(Hebrews 11:21 NLT)
# It was by faith that Jacob, when he was old and dying, blessed each of Joseph’s sons and bowed in worship as he leaned on his staff.

@ Jacob had faith like a mountain and had the experience of how God can bless an individual into a nation
@ His father-in-law didn't pay his salary as promised or as agreed upon. It was changed many times.
@ The business agreement with his father-in-law was revised many times so as to bring nothing to him.
@ Yet, Jacob stood by his faith in God and so he got the divine wisdom for the supernatural blessings.
@ He grew bigger and better than his father-in-law.
@ He was taken care by the Egyptian king till his death as a royal guest.
@ He could spent the end days with his beloved son Joseph & his family even though he was made to believe that Joseph died.
@ He lived a complete life, blessing the sons of Joseph and then worshipping God by leaning on his staff - surrendering his life to God.

# Are you going through disappointing situations?
# Don't give up. Don't loose heart. When you go through storms, all you have to do is hold on to God's promises and remain calm.
# Very soon the the storm will pass away and a rainbow will come.
# God will not let you down.

10 DEC 2014, WORD4ALL: CHAMPIONS OF FAITH:- 7. ISAAC

CHAMPIONS OF FAITH:- 7. ISAAC

(Hebrews 11:20 NLT)
# It was by faith that Isaac promised blessings for the future to his sons, Jacob and Esau.

@ Faith gives us the solid assurance about our future.
@ This assurance will give us the confidence & clarity to plan ahead.
@ Faith is one of the gifts of the Holy Spirit.
@ Do we have faith?
@ If not, let's ask Jesus the author & finisher of faith to grant this gift.

08 DEC 2014, WORD4ALL: CHAMPIONS OF FAITH:- 6. ABRAHAM'S SACRIFICE

CHAMPIONS OF FAITH:- 6. ABRAHAM'S SACRIFICE

(Hebrews 11:17-19 NLT)

# It was by faith that Abraham offered Isaac as a sacrifice when God was testing him.
# Abraham, who had received God’s promises, was ready to sacrifice his only son, Isaac, even though God had told him, “Isaac is the son through whom your descendants will be counted.”
# Abraham reasoned that if Isaac died, God was able to bring him back to life again.
# And in a sense, Abraham did receive his son back from the dead.

@ How deeply we are holding on to God's  blessings?
@ All that we enjoy in this world (people & possessions) are blessings from God. If we start loving and cherishing God's blessings more than Him, it is idolatry.
@ Analyse. Check..If there is anything like that is found in your life, put them on the altar.
@ Let Christ be the first and foremost in your life.

04 DEC 2014, WORD4ALL: CHAMPIONS OF FAITH:- 5. SARAH

CHAMPIONS OF FAITH:- 5. SARAH

(Hebrews 11:11-12 NLT)
# It was by faith that even Sarah was able to have a child, though she was barren and was too old.
# She believed that God would keep His promise.
# And so a whole nation came from this one man who was as good as dead—a nation with so many people that, like the stars in the sky and the sand on the seashore, there is no way to count them.

@ Are you waiting for an answer from God?
@ Today's situations may be dicy, and may look not in favour for what you are expecting from Him (technically, logically or medically)
@ But, still God can do a miracle. Coz, He is the creator and a wonder working God.
@ All you need is, clinging on to His promises and to remain intact in your faith.
@ God will surely fulfill His promise.

03 DEC 2014, WORD4ALL: CHAMPIONS OF FAITH:- 4. ABRAHAM

CHAMPIONS OF FAITH:- 4. ABRAHAM

(Hebrews 11:8-10 NLT)

# It was by faith that Abraham obeyed when God called him to leave home and go to another land that God would give him as his inheritance.
# He went without knowing where he was going.
# And even when he reached the land God promised him, he lived there by faith—for he was like a foreigner, living in tents.
# And so did Isaac and Jacob, who inherited the same promise.
# Abraham was confidently looking forward to a city with eternal foundations, a city designed and built by God.

@ Abraham's faith gave him the heart to obey God and to leave the inheritance of his earthly father.
@ He couldn't settle down in any particular place and was only living in tents (temporary shelter) as a foreigner.
@ Even though he had the provisions to built a solid building, he didn't.
@ He was patiently enduring and waiting for God's destined place for him.

# Will you be ready and willing to leave the current comforts of life, if God tells you?
# What we have now (our assets and possessions) are all temporary.
# So, don't put your heart and soul into it.
# Don't boast about what you have. In no time, God can take it away.
# Don't be worried over your needs and what you don't have. In no time, God can give you.
# Our destined dwelling place is with Jesus. Let's be prepared and remain prepared to inherit that permanent dwelling place...

02 DEC 2014, WORD4ALL: CHAMPIONS OF FAITH:- 3. NOAH

CHAMPIONS OF FAITH:- 3. NOAH

(Hebrews 11:7 NLT)

# It was by faith that Noah built a large boat to save his family from the flood.
# He obeyed God, who warned him about things that had never happened before.
# By his faith Noah condemned the rest of the world, and he received the righteousness that comes by faith.

@ Noah went through moments of ridicule and abuse, while constructing the ark.
@ Building an ark to protect the animals from the expected flood was certainly a giant task, but was an act of foolishness before the entire world.
@ Yet, Noah stuck to his work and was rewarded for his obedience.

# YES!, Noah obeyed God because of his faith.
# God values Obedience more than sacrifices and offerings.
# Doing exactly what the Lord says is perfect Obedience.
# Many a times, delayed obedience is equivalent to denial.
# Do you obey God?

Monday, December 1, 2014

01 DEC 2014, WORD4ALL: CHAMPIONS OF FAITH:- 2. ENOCH

CHAMPIONS OF FAITH:- 2. ENOCH

(Hebrews 11:5-6 NLT)

# It was by faith that Enoch was taken up to heaven without dying—
# “he disappeared, because God took him.”
# For before he was taken up, he was known as a person who pleased God.
# And it is impossible to please God without faith.
# Anyone who wants to come to HIM must believe that God exists and that HE rewards those who sincerely seek HIM.

@ Pleasing God or Pleasing Man - Pls check on your priorities.
@ Living a God Pleasing life may make you unpopular with people around.
@ The world may ridicule you & forsake you.
@ You may walk through paths of rejection, isolation, abuse & any other persecution.
@ Yet, if you stick to your priority of leading a God pleasing life, He will reward you to be with Him in Eternal bliss of unending Joy & Peace.

29 NOV 2014, WORD4ALL: CHAMPIONS OF FAITH:- 1. ABEL

CHAMPIONS OF FAITH:- 1. ABEL

(Hebrews 11:4 NLT)

# It was by faith that Abel brought a more acceptable offering to God than Cain did.
# Abel’s offering gave evidence that he was a righteous man, and
# God showed his approval of his gifts.
# Although Abel is long dead, he still speaks to us by his example of faith.

@ Giving our best to God is an expression of our love & faith in Him
@ When we give our best, God will certainly approves our offering and in turn will make it multiply to be a blessing for many others.
@ The very best thing you can give to God is your own self & your future life. (Sold out for Jesus)
@ Have you given your best to Jesus?

27 NOV 2014, WORD4ALL: FAITH...

FAITH...

(Hebrews 11:1-3 GNT)

# To have faith is to be sure of the things we hope for,
# to be certain of the things we cannot see.  # It was by their faith that people of ancient times won God's approval.
# It is by faith that we understand that the universe was created by God's word, so that what can be seen was made out of what cannot be seen.

@ Without Faith, we cannot please God.
@ Right faith is like a guideway for us to move in the right way of life..else, we'll get lost into destruction.
@ Faith should be based on God's word.
@ Let's analyze our faith and take corrective actions.

Wednesday, November 26, 2014

26 NOV 2014, WORD4ALL: DON'T TURN AWAY...

DON'T TURN AWAY...

(Hebrews 10:36-39 NLT)

# Patient endurance is what you need now,
so that you will continue to do God’s will.

# Then you will receive all that He has promised.

# “For in just a little while, the Coming One will come and not delay.

# God's righteous ones will live by faith. But He will take no pleasure in anyone who turns away.”

# So, let's not be like those, who turn away from God to their own destruction.

# We are the faithful ones, whose souls will be saved.

Tuesday, November 25, 2014

25 NOV 2014, WORD4ALL: DO NOT THROW AWAY...

DO NOT THROW AWAY...

(Hebrews 10:32-35 NLT)

# Think back on those early days when you first learned about Christ.
# Remember how you remained faithful even though it meant terrible suffering.
# Sometimes you were exposed to public ridicule and were beaten, and
# sometimes you helped others who were suffering the same things.
# You suffered along with those who were thrown into jail, and
# when all you owned was taken from you, you accepted it with joy.
# You knew there were better things waiting for you that will last forever.
# So do not throw away this confident trust in the Lord.
# Remember the great reward it brings you!

12 NOV 2014, WORD4ALL: DELIBERATELY SINNING..

DELIBERATELY SINNING..

(Hebrews 10:26-29, 31 NLT)

# Dear friends, if we deliberately continue sinning after we have received knowledge of the truth,
# there is no longer any sacrifice that will cover these sins.
# There is only the terrible expectation of God’s judgment and
# the raging fire that will consume His enemies.
# For anyone who refused to obey the law of Moses was put to death without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses.
# Just think how much worse the punishment will be for those who have trampled on the Son of God, and
# have treated the blood of the covenant, which made us holy,
# as if it were common and unholy, and
# have insulted and disdained the Holy Spirit who brings God’s mercy to us.
# It is a terrible thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

10 NOV 2014, WORD4ALL: MOTIVATE ONE ANOTHER

MOTIVATE ONE ANOTHER

(Hebrews 10:24 NLT)

Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works.

AMPLIFIED VERSION says..

# And let us consider and
# give attentive, continuous care to
     % watching over one another,
% studying how we may stir up (stimulate and incite) to
# love and
# helpful deeds and
# noble activities,

Let's give our best in encouraging others towards doing noble activities.
Let's keep on motivating others..atleast one person daily..

Tuesday, November 4, 2014

04 NOV 2014, WORD4ALL: HOLD FAST TO THE HOPE WITHOUT WAVERING

HOLD FAST TO THE HOPE WITHOUT WAVERING

(Hebrews 10:23 AMP)

# So let us seize and hold fast and retain without wavering
# the hope we cherish and confess and our acknowledgement of it,
# for He Who promised is reliable (sure) and faithful to His word.

@ What's your HOPE?
@ Is it all about CHRIST?
@ Then hold on to it firmly without doubt.
@ Don't go by feelings; but by faith alone.
@ He who promised will never change. He will never let you down.
@ He is the only person who can be trusted in all situations.

03 NOV 2014, WORD4ALL: BOLDLY INTO THE MOST HOLY PLACE

BOLDLY INTO THE MOST HOLY PLACE

(Hebrews 10:19-22 NLT)

# And so, dear brothers and sisters, we can boldly enter heaven’s Most Holy Place because of the blood of Jesus.
# By His death, Jesus opened a new and life-giving way through the curtain into the Most Holy Place.
# And since we have a great High Priest who rules over God’s house, let us go right into the presence of God with sincere hearts fully trusting Him.
# For our guilty consciences have been sprinkled with Christ’s blood to make us clean, and our bodies have been washed with pure water.

17 OCT 2014, WORD4ALL: THE TABERNACLE & THE FIRST COVENANT

THE TABERNACLE & THE FIRST COVENANT

(Hebrews 9:1-8 NLT)

# That first covenant between God and Israel had regulations for worship and a place of worship here on earth.
# There were two rooms in that Tabernacle.

# In the first room were
     % a lampstand,
     % a table, and
% sacred loaves of bread on the table.
This room was called the Holy Place.

# Then there was a curtain, and behind the curtain was the second room called the Most Holy Place.

In that room were
% a gold incense altar and
% a wooden chest called the Ark of the Covenant, which was covered with gold on all sides.

# Inside the Ark were
% a gold jar containing manna,
     % Aaron’s staff that sprouted leaves &
% the stone tablets of the covenant.

# Above the Ark were the cherubim of divine glory, whose wings stretched out over the Ark’s cover, the place of atonement.

# When these things were all in place, the priests regularly entered the first room as they performed their religious duties.
# But only the high priest ever entered the Most Holy Place, and only once a year.
# And he always offered blood for his own sins and for the sins the people had committed in ignorance.
# By these regulations the Holy Spirit revealed that
# the entrance to the Most Holy Place was not freely open as long as the Tabernacle and the system it represented were still in use.

16 OCT 2014, WORD4ALL: NEW COVENANT

NEW COVENANT

(Hebrews 8:8, 10-13 NLT)

But when God found fault with the people, He said:
# “The day is coming, says the lord , when I will make a new covenant with the people of Israel and Judah.

But this is the new covenant I will make with the people of Israel on that day, says the lord :
# I will put my laws in their minds, and
# I will write them on their hearts.
# I will be their God, and they will be my people.
# And they will not need to teach their neighbors, nor will they need to teach their relatives, saying, ‘You should know the lord.’
# For everyone, from the least to the greatest, will know me already.
# And I will forgive their wickedness, and
# I will never again remember their sins.”

When God speaks of a “new” covenant, it means He has made the first one obsolete. It is now out of date and will soon disappear.

15 OCT 2014, WORD4ALL: HEAVENLY TABERNACLE

HEAVENLY TABERNACLE

(Hebrews 8:1-6 NLT)

Here is the main point:
# We have a High Priest who sat down in the place of honor beside the throne of the majestic God in heaven.
# There He ministers in the heavenly Tabernacle, the true place of worship that was built by the Lord and not by human hands.
# And since every high priest is required to offer gifts and sacrifices, our High Priest must make an offering, too.
# If He were here on earth, He would not even be a priest, since there already are priests who offer the gifts required by the law.
# They serve in a system of worship that is only a copy, a shadow of the real one in heaven.
# But now Jesus, our High Priest, has been given a ministry that is far superior to the old priesthood,
# for He is the one who mediates for us a far better covenant with God, based on better promises.

14 OCT 2014, WORD4ALL: THE PERFECT HIGH PRIEST FOREVER

THE PERFECT HIGH PRIEST FOREVER

(Hebrews 7:23-28 NLT)

# There were many priests under the old system, for death prevented them from remaining in office.
# But because Jesus lives forever, His priesthood lasts forever.
# Therefore He is able, once and forever, to save those who come to God through Him. # He lives forever to intercede with God on their behalf.
# He is the kind of high priest we need because
% He is holy and blameless, unstained by sin.
% He has been set apart from sinners and
% has been given the highest place of honor in heaven.

# Unlike those other high priests, He does not need to offer sacrifices every day.
# They did this for their own sins first and then for the sins of the people.
# But Jesus did this once for all when He offered Himself as the sacrifice for the people’s sins.
# The law appointed high priests who were limited by human weakness.
# But after the law was given, God appointed His Son with an oath, and His Son has been made the perfect High Priest forever.

Saturday, October 11, 2014

11 OCT 2014, WORD4ALL: JESUS OUR NEW PRIEST LIKE MELCHIZEDEK

JESUS OUR NEW PRIEST LIKE MELCHIZEDEK

(Hebrews 7:4-6, 12, 15-16 NLT)

# Consider then how great this Melchizedek was.
# Even Abraham, the great patriarch of Israel, recognized this by giving him a tenth of what he had taken in battle.
# Now the law of Moses required that the priests, who are descendants of Levi, must collect a tithe from the rest of the people of Israel, who are also descendants of Abraham.
# But Melchizedek, who was not a descendant of Levi, collected a tenth from Abraham.
# And Melchizedek placed a blessing upon Abraham, the one who had already received the promises of God.
# And if the priesthood is changed, the law must also be changed to permit it.
# This change has been made very clear since a different priest, who is like Melchizedek, has appeared.
# Jesus became a priest, not by meeting the physical requirement of belonging to the tribe of Levi, but by the power of a life that cannot be destroyed.

Wednesday, October 8, 2014

08 OCT 2014, WORD4ALL: MELCHIZEDEK

MELCHIZEDEK

(Hebrews 7:1-3 NLT)
# This Melchizedek was king of the city of Salem and also a priest of God Most High.
# When Abraham was returning home after winning a great battle against the kings, Melchizedek met him and blessed him.
# Then Abraham took a tenth of all he had captured in battle and gave it to Melchizedek.
# The name Melchizedek means “king of justice,” and king of Salem means “king of peace.”
# There is no record of his father or mother or any of his ancestors—no beginning or end to his life.
# He remains a priest forever, resembling the Son of God.

30 SEPT 2014, WORD4ALL: KEEP ON LOVING...

KEEP ON LOVING...

(Hebrews 6:11-12 NLT)
# Our great desire is that you will keep on loving others as long as life lasts,
# in order to make certain that what you hope for will come true.
# Then you will not become spiritually dull and indifferent.
# Instead, you will follow the example of those who are going to inherit God’s promises because of their faith and endurance.

@ Showing love to others in all situations is practically a tougher job to do.
@ But then, that should be our spiritual goal and standard.
@ It is not possible unless we have the endurance to pursue whenever we fail.
@ Pursuing this goal will make us spiritually more active and strong.
@ Remember, how much Jesus was loving and patient with us, specially in our failures.
@ Freely we received, freely we should give others.
@ No one is perfect including us. So, let's keep on loving others even in their shortcomings..

Monday, September 29, 2014

29 SEPT 2014, WORD4ALL:BETTER THINGS

BETTER THINGS

(Hebrews 6:9-10 NLT)
# We are confident that you are meant for better things,
# things that come with salvation.
# For God is not unjust.
# He will not forget how hard you have worked for Him and
# how you have shown your love to Him by caring for other believers, as you still do.

@ God has called us to be a blessing to others.
@ Our love for God should be shown by the love we show to others; not in words alone. But by caring for them in all possible ways.
@ Caring & Sharing demands a sacrificial lifestyle.
@ Caring & Sharing for others will show the depth of our love towards Christ.
@ Let's work hard to make this as our lifestyle;
@ Let's continue to reflect His love, which is the outcome of our salvation.
@ God will not forget our good works. He will surely reward us. So, don't give up. Keep going..

27 SEPT 2014, WORD4ALL:  BLESSING or CURSE?

BLESSING or CURSE?

(Hebrews 6:7-8 GNT)
# God blesses the soil which drinks in the rain that often falls on it and
# which grows plants that are useful to those for whom it is cultivated.
# But if it grows thorns and weeds, it is worth nothing;
# it is in danger of being cursed by God and
# will be destroyed by fire.

% Every single thing that we have in this life, is given by God (like the rain on the soil)
% Is our life a blessing to others? (Like plants) OR
% Are we too self centered?
% Self centered life is insensitive to other's needs and often inflicts hurts and pain in other's life. (thorns & weeds)
% Such kind of life is in danger of being cursed by God and destruction.
% Cross check your life. Be a blessing to others.

Friday, September 26, 2014

26 SEPT 2014, WORD4ALL:  NAILING ONCE AGAIN.

NAILING ONCE AGAIN.

(Hebrews 6:4-6 NLT)

# those who were once enlightened
# those who have experienced the good things of heaven and shared in the Holy Spirit,
# who have tasted the goodness of the word of God and the power of the age to come— and

# who then turn away from God.
# It is impossible to bring such people back to repentance;
# by rejecting the Son of God,
# they themselves are nailing him to the cross once again and
# holding him up to public shame.

@ Salvation is not by our deeds. It is purely by God's grace through faith.
@ So, what we gained by God's grace.. Let us not take it for granted or despise it.
@ Let's be careful NOT TO NAIL HIM AGAIN by turning away from God and slip down into an irrevocable situation like Judas....
@ Continue to depend on God's grace and mercy for living a God pleasing life.
@ Enjoy the spiritual freedom with greater reverence for God.

19 SEPT 2014, WORD4ALL:  MOVE BEYOND

MOVE BEYOND

(Hebrews 6:1-2 NIV)

# Therefore let us move beyond the elementary teachings about Christ and
# be taken forward to maturity,
# not laying again the foundation of repentance from acts that lead to death, and of faith in God,
   # instruction about cleansing rites,
   # the laying on of hands,
   # the resurrection of the dead, and
   # eternal judgment.

Thursday, September 18, 2014

18 SEPT 2014, WORD4ALL:  CHRIST OUR HIGH PRIEST

CHRIST OUR HIGH PRIEST

(Hebrews 4:14-16 NLT)

# So then, since we have a great High Priest who has entered heaven, Jesus the Son of God,
# let us hold firmly to what we believe.
# This High Priest of ours understands our weaknesses,
# for He faced all of the same testings we do, yet He did not sin.
# So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God.
# There we will receive His mercy, and
# we will find grace to help us when we need it most.

Wednesday, September 17, 2014

17 SEPT 2014, WORD4ALL:  GOD'S REST

GOD'S REST

(Hebrews 4:6, 9-11 NLT)

# So God’s rest is there for people to enter,
# but those who first heard this good news failed to enter because they disobeyed God.
# So there is a special rest still waiting for the people of God.
# For all who have entered into God’s rest have rested from their labors, just as God did after creating the world.
# So let us do our best to enter that rest.
# But if we disobey God, as the people of Israel did, we will fall.

Tuesday, September 16, 2014

16 SEPT 2014, WORD4ALL:  EXPOSED

EXPOSED

(Hebrews 4:12-13 NLT)

# For the word of God is alive and powerful.
# It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow.
# It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires.
# Nothing in all creation is hidden from God.
# Everything is naked and exposed before His eyes, and
# He is the one to whom we are accountable.

@ None of us can hide anything from the eyes of God, no matter what we think or do.
@ No one is insulated from the penetrating power of God's word.
@ We are accountable to God. So let's be careful about our life.

15 SEPT 2014, WORD4ALL:  CLEAN & UNCLEAN

CLEAN & UNCLEAN

(Mark 7:15, 18-23 GNT)

# There is nothing that goes into you from the outside which can make you ritually unclean.
# Rather, it is what comes out of you that makes you unclean.
# Jesus said to them. “Don't you understand?
# Nothing that goes into you from the outside can really make you unclean, because it does not go into your heart but into your stomach and then goes on out of the body.”
(In saying this, Jesus declared that all foods are fit to be eaten.)
# And He went on to say, “It is what comes out of you that makes you unclean.
# For from the inside, from your heart, come the evil ideas which lead you
  * to do immoral things,
  * to rob,
  * kill,
  * commit adultery,
  * be greedy, and
  * do all sorts of evil things;
deceit, indecency, jealousy, slander, pride, and folly—
# all these evil things come from inside you and make you unclean.”

Be watchful to remain CLEAN..

28 AUG 2014, WORD4ALL:  FAITHFULNESS OF JESUS

FAITHFULNESS OF JESUS

(Hebrews 3:1-2 NLT)

# And so, dear brothers and sisters who belong to God and are partners with those called to heaven,
# think carefully about this Jesus whom we declare to be God’s messenger and High Priest.
# For He was faithful to God, who appointed Him,
# just as Moses served faithfully when he was entrusted with God’s entire house.

@ Are we faithful to God and Men?

Wednesday, August 27, 2014

27 AUG 2014, WORD4ALL:  SALVATION THROUGH JESUS

SALVATION THROUGH JESUS

(Hebrews 2:10-11 GNT)

# It was only right that God, who creates and preserves all things, should make Jesus perfect through suffering,
# in order to bring many children to share His glory.
# For Jesus is the one who leads them to salvation.
# He purifies people from their sins, and both He and those who are made pure all have the same Father.
# That is why Jesus is not ashamed to call them his family.

% Are you washed by the blood of Jesus?
% If so, cheer up!. You are a part of His family.

Monday, August 25, 2014

25 AUG 2014, WORD4ALL:  LITTLE LOWER YET HIGHER

LITTLE LOWER YET HIGHER

(Hebrews 2:6-9 NLT)

# For in one place the Scriptures say,
“What are mere mortals that you should think about them,
or
a son of man that you should care for him?

# Yet you made them only a little lower than the angels
and
crowned them with glory and honor.

# You gave them authority over all things.”

# Now when it says “all things,” it means nothing is left out.

# But we have not yet seen all things put under their authority.

# What we do see is Jesus, who was given a position
“a little lower than the angels”;
and because He suffered death for us,
He is now “crowned with glory and honor.”

# Yes, by God’s grace,
Jesus tasted death for everyone.

Thursday, August 21, 2014

21 AUG 2014, WORD4ALL: DON'T DRIFT AWAY

DON'T DRIFT AWAY

(Hebrews 2:1-2, 4 NLT)

% So we must listen very carefully to the truth we have heard, or we may drift away from it.
% For the message God delivered through angels has always stood firm, and every violation of the law and every act of disobedience was punished.
% And God confirmed the message by giving signs and wonders and various miracles and gifts of the Holy Spirit whenever He chose.

Wednesday, August 20, 2014

20 AUG 2014, WORD4ALL: HUMAN BEINGS AND THE SON OF GOD

HUMAN BEINGS AND THE SON OF GOD

( Hebrews 2:14-18 NLT)

# Because God’s children are human beings
—made of flesh and blood
—the Son also became flesh and blood.
# For only as a human being could He die, and
# only by dying could He break the power of the devil, who had the power of death.
# Only in this way could He set free all who have lived their lives as slaves to the fear of dying.

# We also know that the Son did not come to help angels;
# He came to help the descendants of Abraham.
# Therefore, it was necessary for Him to be made in every respect like us, His brothers and sisters, so that He could be our merciful and faithful High Priest before God.
# Then He could offer a sacrifice that would take away the sins of the people.
# Since He himself has gone through suffering and testing, He is able to help us when we are being tested.

18 AUG 2014, WORD4ALL: ANGELS TO CARE FOR YOU

ANGELS TO CARE FOR YOU

(Hebrews 1:13-14 NLT)

And God never said to any of the angels,
“Sit in the place of honor at my right hand until I humble your enemies, making them a footstool under your feet.”

Therefore, angels are only servants
—spirits sent to care for people who will inherit salvation.

# Don't equate God to any angels.
# Don't worship angels in any form.
# You are uniquely created in God's image and  is above the angels.
# As a child of God, you too have angels watching over you to take care of you.
# You are very very special to God.

HE LOVES YOU SO MUCH

13 AUG 2014, WORD4ALL: JESUS CHRIST IS ABOVE ANGELS

CHRIST IS ABOVE ANGELS

(Hebrews 1:5-12 NLT)

For God never said to any angel what He said to Jesus:
“You are my Son. Today I have become your Father. ”

God also said,
“I will be his Father, and he will be my Son.”

And when He brought His supreme Son into the world, God said,
“Let all of God’s angels worship Him.”

Regarding the angels, He says,
“He sends His angels like the winds, His servants like flames of fire.”

But to the Son He says,
“Your throne, O God, endures forever and ever. You rule with a scepter of justice. You love justice and hate evil.
Therefore, O God, your God has anointed you, pouring out the oil of joy on you more than on anyone else.”

He also says to the Son,
“In the beginning, Lord, you laid the foundation of the earth and made the heavens with your hands.
They will perish, but you remain forever. They will wear out like old clothing. You will fold them up like a cloak and discard them like old clothing.
But you are always the same; you will live forever.”

YES!
# Jesus Christ is above all creations including angels.
# He is not one of the gods. He is the Lord of Lords and God above all.
# He lives for ever.
# He is the same yesterday, today and forever.
# He alone is worthy to be praised. Give Him all the glory, honor and praise.

11 AUG 2014, WORD4ALL:  GOD'S SON JESUS CHRIST

GOD'S SON JESUS CHRIST

(Hebrews 1:1-4 NLT)

# Long ago God spoke many times and in many ways to our ancestors through the prophets.
# And now in these final days, He has spoken to us through His Son.
# God promised everything to the Son as an inheritance, and through the Son He created the universe.
# The Son radiates God’s own glory and expresses the very character of God, and
# He sustains everything by the mighty power of His command.
# When He had cleansed us from our sins,
# He sat down in the place of honor at the right hand of the majestic God in heaven.
# This shows that the Son is far greater than the angels, just as the name God gave Him is greater than their names.

8 AUG 2014, WORD4ALL:  REFRESHING KINDNESS

REFRESHING KINDNESS

(Philemon 1:7 NLT)

Your love has given me much joy and comfort, my brother, for your kindness has often refreshed the hearts of God’s people.

KINDNESS:
# is a fruit of the Holy Spirit.
# is an act of not just being nice, but showing sympathy and understanding.
# is an act of going out of your way to be nice to someone or show a person you care.
# is doing something and not expecting anything in return.

An act of kindness would be (for eg) if you see someone who looks upset or down, just smiling and saying hello to them, maybe striking up a conversation or trying to help them.

Are you kind to others? If not, start working on being kind to one another. Kindness will surely refresh the stressed out minds (both you as well the person to whom you show kindness)

As God's children, we should be known for being Kind to others.

7 AUG 2014, WORD4ALL: PUT YOUR GENEROSITY INTO ACTION

7 AUG 2014, WORD4ALL:  PUT YOUR GENEROSITY INTO ACTION

(Philemon 1:6 NLT)

And I am praying that you will put into action the generosity that comes from your faith as you understand and experience all the good things we have in Christ.

# When we enjoy a closer relationship with Christ,  we will be experiencing His goodness daily.
# Closer walk with Jesus will make us understand His provisions and plans for our future.
# This will keep us growing in the faith about God's generous heart in blessing us to be a blessing.
# This revelation of truth "Blessed to be a blessing" and overcoming the temptation of being "Self-centred" should really bring out the generosity into action..

5 AUG 2014, WORD4ALL: AVOID FOOLISH CONTROVERSIES

AVOID FOOLISH CONTROVERSIES

(Titus 3:9 ESV)

But avoid foolish controversies, genealogies, dissensions, and quarrels about the law, for they are unprofitable and worthless.

# Don't waste your time in unprofitable arguments and discussions.
# They will only bring division and dissent.
# But, be a person of peace and love.

4 AUG 2014, WORD4ALL: THE TRANSFORMATION...

THE TRANSFORMATION...

(Titus 3:3-8 NLT)

# Once we, too, were foolish and disobedient.
# We were misled and became slaves to many lusts and pleasures.
# Our lives were full of evil and envy, and
# we hated each other.

But— When God our Savior revealed His kindness and love,
# He saved us, not because of the righteous things we had done, but because of His mercy.
# He washed away our sins,
# giving us a new birth and new life through the Holy Spirit.
# He generously poured out the Spirit upon us through Jesus Christ our Savior.
# Because of His grace He declared us righteous and
# gave us confidence that we will inherit eternal life.

% This is a trustworthy saying, and I want you to insist on these teachings so that all who trust in God will devote themselves to doing good.
% These teachings are good and beneficial for everyone.

Do you have a similar story of transformation?  Then share it with others..

1 AUG 2014, WORD4ALL: PURPOSE OF HIS DEATH

1 AUG 2014, WORD4ALL:  PURPOSE OF HIS DEATH

(Titus 2:14 NLT)

He gave His life
% to free us from every kind of sin,
   % to cleanse us, and
% to make us His very own people,
% totally committed to doing good deeds.

Please check, whether you are
# Free from sin
# Clean
# Confident that you are His Child (without doubt)
# Doing good to others continuously.

If there is any shortcoming in any of the above areas, be bold to go to Jesus and ask His help to be what you are supposed to be.

31 JULY 2014, WORD4ALL: GRACE REVEALED

GRACE REVEALED

(Titus 2:11-12 GNT)
# For God has revealed his grace for the salvation of all people.
# That grace instructs us to give up
   * ungodly living and
   * worldly passions, and
to live
   * self-controlled,
   * upright, and
   * godly lives in this world,

30 JULY 2014, WORD4ALL: GOOD & FAITHFUL TO BRING CREDIT

GOOD & FAITHFUL TO BRING CREDIT

(Titus 2:9-10 GNT)
% Slaves are to submit themselves to their masters and please them in all things.
% They must not talk back to them or steal from them.
% Instead, they must show that they are always good and faithful, so as to bring credit to the teaching about God our Savior in all they do.

Monday, July 28, 2014

28 JULY 2014, WORD4ALL: BE AN EXAMPLE

BE AN EXAMPLE

(Titus 2:7 NLT)
And you yourself must be an example to them by doing good works of every kind.
Let everything you do reflect the integrity and seriousness of your teaching.

% Many a times, we point fingers at others for not doing what they teach.
% We find fault about other's life.
% But God demands every one of His children to be an example to others.
% Jesus expects us to be an example by doing good works of every kind.
% We should not become complacent or be satisfied with what we have done.
% But, we should keep on doing good works until we finish our race in this world.
% So let's not waste time in pointing out mistakes of others or criticising others.
% Instead we ourselves should be an example.

26 JULY 2014, WORD4ALL: LIVING AND TEACHING

LIVING AND TEACHING

(Titus 2:1 NLT)
As for you, Titus, promote the kind of living that reflects wholesome teaching.

% Again we read about Paul insisting on the life that reflects what we teach.
% Here he emphasis on a life that reflects sound (healthy) doctrine of life.
% The doctrine based on the life of Jesus Christ % In short our life should reflect the teachings and life of Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour.
% Let's introspect our life and what we teach others.

Conclusion:

# We should teach others about Christ in full (complete gospel/teaching)
# Our life should reflect this wholesome teaching

25 JULY 2014, WORD4ALL: WORD AND WALK

WORD AND WALK

(Titus 1:15-16 NLT)
% Everything is pure to those whose hearts are pure.
% But nothing is pure to those who are corrupt and unbelieving, because their minds and consciences are corrupted.
% Such people claim they know God, but they deny Him by the way they live.
% They are detestable and disobedient, worthless for doing anything good.

@ What we claim in words and the way we live should match.
@ Many people talk a lot about God, but their life will be against Godly principles which amounts to denial.
@ Such lifestyles are hypocritical.
@ Check your life today.
@ Be sure that your word and walk are the same.

24 JULY 2014, WORD4ALL: BEWARE OF REBELLIOUS PEOPLE

BEWARE OF REBELLIOUS PEOPLE

% For there are many rebellious people who engage in useless talk and deceive others.
% This is especially true of those who insist on circumcision for salvation.
% They must be silenced, because they are turning whole families away from the truth by their false teaching.
% And they do it only for money.
(Titus 1:10-11 NLT)

Wednesday, July 23, 2014

23 JULY 2014, WORD4ALL: ARE YOU A DISCIPLE MAKER(ELDER)?

Checklist
% An elder must live a blameless life.
% He must be faithful to his wife, and
% His children must be believers who don’t have a reputation for being wild or rebellious.
% An elder is a manager of God’s household, so he must live a blameless life.
% He must not be arrogant or quick-tempered;

% He must love what is good.
% He must live wisely and be just.
% He must live a devout and disciplined life.
% He must have a strong belief in the trustworthy message he was taught;
% Then he will be able to encourage others with wholesome teaching and show those who oppose it where they are wrong. (Titus 1:6-9 NLT)

# We cannot remain as infants in Christ.
# We should grow up to be a disciple and a disciple maker (elder)
# Let us give priority to the areas listed above and be a good disciple maker (elder)
# Let us multiply and expand the kingdom of God.
# Let us be sensitive to the perishing souls.
# Let us be concerned about those who are living without the eternal hope.
# Let us be a good model for others in following the footsteps of Christ.

22 JULY 2014, WORD4ALL: LEFT ALIVE TO COMPLETE THE WORK

LEFT ALIVE TO COMPLETE THE WORK

% I left you on the island of Crete
% so you could complete our work there and
% appoint elders in each town as I instructed you.(Titus 1:5 NLT)

* This is similar to what Jesus did before ascending to heaven.
* Jesus called His disciples and entrusted the work of making more disciples everywhere across the world.
* Jesus commissioned His disciples to complete the unfinished work of preaching the Gospel to the nations.
* It is a mantle and a Godly yoke on His children, that is being passed from one generation to another and should continue until Jesus comes again.
* YES my precious friends!!
* We are left alive in this world to complete the unfinished work of
     % saving precious souls,
% making them as disciples of Christ and
% nurture them as faithful stewards who in turn will further continue the work.
* No one knows the span of life. Death may come any time.
* But, are we faithful in fulfilling the mandate? If not, start doing it from today onwards..

Note: If you don't know how to share God's love to others and make them into a disciple, let me know. We can help you do that.

21 JULY 2014, WORD4ALL: REMINDER TO REMIND...

REMINDER TO REMIND...

This letter is from Paul, a slave of God and an apostle of Jesus Christ.
% I have been sent to proclaim faith to those God has chosen and
% to teach them to know the truth that shows them how to live godly lives.
% This truth gives them confidence that they have eternal life, which God(who does not lie) promised them before the world began.
% And now at just the right time He has revealed this message, which we announce to everyone.
% It is by the command of God our Savior that I have been entrusted with this work for Him.(Titus 1:1-3 NLT)

% Sharing the Gospel, teaching the truth and discipling them in CHRIST is a God given mandate to every believer.
% This letter from Paul is a reminder to all of us to remind everyone about Christ.
% Let's keep doing it till our last breadth.

18 JULY 2014, WORD4ALL: FIX YOUR THOUGHTS ON...

FIX YOUR THOUGHTS ON...

And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on
* what is true, and
* honorable, and
* right, and
* pure, and
* lovely, and
* admirable.
Think about things that are
* excellent and
* worthy of praise.([NLT] Phil 4:8)

% We have a greater calling.
% We are called to aim high and excel.
% Let's not settle down for the substandard things of this world.
% Let's not compromise on the godly qualities.
% Let's fix our thoughts on higher things and make a difference through our life.

17 JULY 2014, WORD4ALL: TELL GOD

TELL GOD

Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank Him for all He has done.([NLT] Phil 4:6)

% Sharing our concerns and problems with others is quite common.
% The habit of sharing is different from lamenting.
% Many a times, particularly when we are stressed out, we start lamenting to others under the pretext of sharing.
% Lamenting adds up the worry and stress in life.
% This leads us to a state of gloominess thereby stealing the inner joy and even the little faith we have.

* Are you struggling with similar situations?
* Make it a habit of telling God first, before telling any man.
* Don't hesitate to open up your heart to God and tell Him what you need.
* Sometimes even the closest companion fails to understand our feelings.
* But God can understand our inner most feelings, disappointments and expectations.
* He is the only one who can understand you as you are.
* More than trusting man, trust God and tell Him everything.

. TELL EVERYTHING TO GOD FIRST.

16 JULY 2014, WORD4ALL: DO EVERYTHING THROUGH CHRIST.

DO EVERYTHING THROUGH CHRIST.

For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength.(Phil 4:13 NLT)

* Are you weak and tired?
* Are you on the verge of giving up from pursuing what you are doing now?
* Are you standing in the cross roads, confused and apprehensive about the magnitude of work that is starring at you?
* Are you bombarded with the thoughts of inability to finish the process or project you are handling now?
* Are you feeling burnt out, come to a standstill without any energy and resilience to move forward?

= Yes! The world is a tough place which sucks out our energy.
= As human beings, we have limited energy and strength.
= But our God is omnipotent. He can do anything and everything.
= Come to Christ.
= Surrender your inability and the situations into His hands.
= Surely He will strengthen you to finish all that you need to accomplish.
= With Christ by our side we can do great exploits, cross over seas and leap over mountains.
= Just be careful to do everything through Christ.

15 JULY 2014, WORD4ALL: BE CONTENT

BE CONTENT

Not that I was ever in need, for I have learned how to be content with whatever I have.(Phil 4:11 NLT)

% Being content in life is next to impossible for most of us.
% We always long to have more or the latest
% This thirst or craving will never allow us to be settled and give rise to anxiety.
% Anxiety leads to worries and peace-less situations.
% These situations opens the door for most of the diseases.
% The best medicine to tackle this problem is learning to be content with what we have.
% There is nothing wrong in aiming higher or to have the best.
% We should give our best in all that we can do and then leave the rest to God.
% Whatever God gives in return to our best efforts, we should have the heart to accept and should learn to be content with that.
% We should stop worrying and be thankful to God for whatever blessing He is bestowing on us.
% Are you content?

GOD WILL MEET ALL YOUR NEEDS

And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of His glory in Christ Jesus. {Phil 4:19 NIV)

% God is your creator and is the owner of the entire universe.
% The riches of this world is beyond imagination and everything is under His authority and control.
% What is your need in life?
% What are you anxious about, concerning your future?
% Come to Jesus, put your trust in Him and tell Him your need.
% Jesus is all powerful and all capable to meet your needs.
% Don't depend on your strength, power or influence. Instead depend on God's mercy.
% Then, God will surely meet all your needs according to His riches and glory.

12 JULY 2014, WORD4ALL: REWARD FOR YOUR KINDNESS

REWARD FOR YOUR KINDNESS

I want you to receive a reward for your kindness.(Phil 4:17 NLT)

% Are you kind to one another?
% Are you kind to the poor and needy?
% Are you showing kindness to the fatherless, orphans, homeless, weak and the meek?
% More than our words, a small deed of kindness in times of need is more powerful.
% Remember the Kindness of Jesus in our life. Let's also be kind to others like Him.
% If we exhibit our kindness for the sake of getting name and fame we will miss the real reward from God.
% Act of kindness should be done in secret or silently.
% God is silently watching over our attitude and activities. He will surely reward us.
% Let us be careful not to miss out the reward from God.

10 JULY 2014, WORD4ALL: DON'T WORRY

DON'T WORRY

* Don't worry about anything, but in all your prayers
* ask God for what you need,
* always asking Him with a thankful heart.(Phil 4:6 GNT)

@ 'Worry' is a powerful weapon devil uses to demoralize the people.
@ Worry brings fear and destroys the inner peace.
@ Worry suffocates the individual from having faith in Christ
@ Worry paralyses people from doing anything positive in life and even curtails growth and stability.
@ Worry blinds the people from seeing the blessings in life and prevents them from enjoying even the blessings at hand.

% Are you worried about your future?

Simple steps to come out of worrying

% Count your blessings and list them down.
% Recollect the cherished moments of your past.
% Start thanking God for all those blessings.
% Remember that He who could protect and provide for you in the past can continue to do the same for your future.
% Surrender all worries unto the Lord and start thanking Him for your future.
% Read the Scriptures (Bible) more so that your faith will increase and His peace will fill you.
% Speak to yourself and against the 'worry' factor to leave you.
% Keep reminding yourself that God is in control of your future and He will give the best in the right time. Never doubt again.
% Rejoice over His presence, protection and provision.

DON'T WORRY ABOUT ANYTHING. GOD IS IN CONTROL

09 JULY 2014, WORD4ALL: GENTLENESS

GENTLENESS

Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. (Phil 4:5 NIV)

% Gentleness means being mild, soft or not harsh.
% Do we have this character?
% Let's analyse to what extent we are gentle in tough situations and testing times.
% Our gentleness will be known to others, only by the way we respond to the crisis.
% Jesus was very gentle when He walked in this world as a human.
% Holy Spirit is a gentle Spirit and gentleness is also the fruit of Holy Spirit.
% Let's be sure to receive this fruit and the fruit be known to others.

08 JULY 2014, WORD4ALL: FULL OF JOY

FULL OF JOY

Always be full of joy in the Lord. I say it again—rejoice! (Phil 4:4 NLT)

* Holy Spirit  is the source of JOY
* The secret is: When we remain actively connected to the Lord through the Holy Spirit (remains filled continuously), no matter, how difficult the situations are, our inner joy will never get disturbed.
* The joy of the Lord will keep bubbling over.
* When we have this fullness of joy, you will be full of confidence and faith. You will be more productive and successful.
* Remain filled with the Holy Spirit always. REJOICE!

05 JULY 2014, WORD4ALL: SETTLE YOUR DISAGREEMENT.

SETTLE YOUR DISAGREEMENT.

Please, because you belong to the Lord, settle your disagreement.(Phil 4:2 NLT)

% Are you in peace with others?
% Do you have disagreement with your brethren?
% When you disagree with somebody else over any issue, you should handle it professionally and in the right spirit.
% Disagreements are quite common everywhere including our home and workplace.
% But you should never prolong that to allow entry into your personal space leading to hurts and enmity.
% If you are a child of God, be a person of peace. Not a person of enmity and disagreement.
% Even if it is there, settle your disagreements immediately.

04 JULY 2014, WORD4ALL: STAY TRUE

STAY TRUE

Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stay true to the Lord. (Phil 4:1 NLT)

% We should be people of integrity.
% Being truthful should be in our blood and in our daily life.
% Both before the eyes and behind the eyes of people, we should always remain truthful because, God's eyes are always watching over us.
% Many times, we make promises to God ; but seldom keep it. This is not truthfulness.
% Compromising on Godly values and principles for the sake of worldly things, purposely doing wrong, taking God's grace for granted are other examples for not being true to God.
% So, if we are conscious of the fact that no one can hide anything from God and if we are committed to live a God pleasing life, automatically we will be truthful in all areas.
% Let's analyse and correct our shortfalls.
% Let's remain true to the Lord till the end..

03 JULY 2014, WORD4ALL: MORTAL TO GLORIOUS

MORTAL TO GLORIOUS

@ But we are citizens of heaven, where the Lord Jesus Christ lives.
@ And we are eagerly waiting for Him to return as our Saviour.
@ He will take our weak mortal bodies and change them into glorious bodies like His own,
@ using the same power with which He will bring everything under His control.(Phil 3:20-21 NLT)

Reassuring words of Paul.
% Do we have such assurance or confidence today?
% Do you still have doubts about the next life?
% This worldly life is a short life, where we are prepared for the eternal life.
% The pain and sorrows of all the children of God will also end with this world.
% So cheer up. Jesus is coming soon to take us to be with Him.
% He will wipe away all our tears and erase our pain.
% We will be transformed from our mortal bodies into glorious bodies.
% What a wonderful moment it will be.
% Let us prepare to meet our Saviour.

02 JULY 2014, WORD4ALL: CONTRADICTING THE CROSS

CONTRADICTING THE CROSS

@ For I have told you often before, and I say it again with tears in my eyes, that
@ there are many whose conduct shows they are really enemies of the cross of Christ.
@ They are headed for destruction.
@ Their god is their appetite,
@ they brag about shameful things, and
@ they think only about this life he re on earth.(Phil 3:18-19 NLT)

% We may speak beautifully about the Cross.
% But if our life doesn't match what is written in the Bible, then we contradict our own.  and the Cross of Christ.
% To God, it’s not our words but whether we live as per His word which is more important.
% If we say that we are a Christian but live a life which has no relation to Christ, then we are enemies to Him.
% Such kind of life leads to destruction. Better be warned and stand corrected.
% Don't look at what others are doing. Don't compare with the life of others. But compare your words and life with Christ.
% Check your conduct whether it is contradictory to the cross of Christ.

01 JULY 2014, WORD4ALL: PRESS ON TOWARDS THE CALL

PRESS ON TOWARDS THE CALL

# I focus on this one thing:
# Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead,
# I press on to reach the end of the race and
# receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us. (Phil 3:13-14 NLT)

# God is calling us through Jesus Christ for the heavenly prize
# That is possible, only when we finish the race successfully.
# Yes, we need to cross the finish line to receive the prize
# Our life is the race and is a difficult race
# Our own self, the world we live in and satan(all three) work against us from reaching  the finish line.
# Paul had similar problem too, but had the solution as well.
# He didn't get stranded with every failure he faced or didn't stop running because of depression.
# We too need to keep moving. We should press on forgetting our past
# Don't stop or quit because of your guilt. Whatever be your situation or failure, Jesus Christ still loves you and wants to help you finish the race.
# Don't keep turning back or looking at the past defeats and lose the focus for your future.

# God is perfect and He expects us to be perfect.
# There is no stopping for our spiritual growth in this world.
# No man can say that he has attained perfection
# It is a continuos process till we finish our race in this world
# World is like a workshop where we will be tuned and finetuned for perfection to be like Christ, before being taken into heaven.
# Christ gave Himself for making us perfect so that we can enjoy eternity with Him.
# So, let's press on to possess this perfection.
# Don't give up. Keep moving even if you had failed repeatedly.
# Depend on Christ. He will make you perfect like Him.

# so that I could gain Christ and become one with Him. (Phil 3:8-9 NLT)

* Paul one of the learned person, honoured and very religious in following the Jewish custom and law was persecuting the believers of Christ.
* But, after his encountered with God, his life changed completely.
* He started going around preaching about the same Christ who graciously forgave his mistakes and transformed his life.
* The life changing experience he had with Christ made him realise the infinite value of Jesus and His love.
* Paul understood that anything of this world (education, wealth, influence, power etc) is worthless when compared with the value of Christ and His love.
* He counted all his experience, intellect and knowledge as garbage, and was just longing to know more about Christ and to be with Him.

% Lets analyse and find out where do we stand?
% Is Christ the reason for the transformation of our life?
% Is Christ more valuable than all other things of our life?

27 JUNE 2014, WORD4ALL: KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

# I want to know Christ and
# experience the mighty power that raised Him from the dead.
# I want to suffer with Him,
# sharing in His death,
# so that one way or another I will experienced the resurrection from the dead! (Phil 3:10-11 NLT)

% Paul is sharing his inner desire
% the desire to know about Christ and experience the resurrection from the dead
% He is so desperate over this that he was even willing to suffer.
% because, He had the knowledge about eternal life and the way to have it.
% He understood the value of eternal life so much, that he could consider every other things of this world (education, status, relationship etc as secondary to that)
% He was not willing to be content with the knowledge of Christ, but wants to experience Him.
% Experience makes a man perfect.
% Bible knowledge alone is not sufficient. It should become your life experience.
% Let Christ become your daily experience in life.

26 JUNE 2014, WORD4ALL: DON'T COUNT

DON'T COUNT

# I no longer count on my own righteousness through obeying the law; rather,
# I become righteous through faith in Christ.
# For God’s way of making us right with Himself depends on faith.( Phil 3:9 NLT)

@ Obeying law is certainly mand. atory for a good citizen.
@ Abiding by the law is an essential quality of a righteous person.
@ But, that doesn't make a person right with God.
@ Don't count the instances of your own righteous acts and noble deeds to become right with God.
@ God counts our faith in Christ and His sacrificial death shedding His precious blood as the only way to be made right with Him.
@ By faith you are saved. Don't count any other human ways and efforts.

25 JUNE 2014, WORD4ALL : WATCH OUT!

WATCH OUT!

@ Watch out for those dogs,
@ those people who do evil,
@ those mutilators who say you must be circumcised to be saved.
@ For we who worship by the Spirit of God are the ones who are truly circumcised.
@ We rely on what Christ Jesus has done for us.
@ We put no confidence in human effort, (Phil 3: 2-3 NLT)

* Friends, There is only one way for our salvation. That is Jesus Christ.
* We cannot be saved or enter into heaven by our words or good deeds.
* Traditional practices, rituals cannot save us or bring forgiveness from sins.
* But, Forgiveness from our sins & salvation comes only by the blood of Jesus that was shed on the cross for us.
* All that we need to do is believe in the redemptive work of Jesus on the cross alone.

But,
* Watch out, for there are people who still stress on the importance of human work to receive salvation.
* Don't be deceived. Our righteousness are nothing but filthy rags
* Watch out, there are enough evil minded & self centered people with good no of captivating & mesmerising teachings and doctrines, that stress on the self righteousness of individuals for salvation.
* Don't fall a prey to those people's tactics and lose your destiny with Jesus.

24 JUNE 2014, WORD4ALL: REJOICE

REJOICE

# Whatever happens, my dear brothers and sisters,
# rejoice in the Lord.
# I never get tired of telling you these things, and
# I do it to safeguard your faith.
(Phil 3:1 NLT)

* This worldly life is a journey of ups and downs.
* We cannot escape the situations of dejection, defeats, disappointments, disapprovals etc..at some point or other.
* These situations can happen in our life, either because of our own mistakes or because of others.
* Whatever be the reason, our life cannot become dormant, but has to keep going.
* If Jesus is your Lord n God,  remember to commit all your situations and keep going.
* Jesus doesn't allow any such situations without reasons.
* He knows the best and will only give the best.
* Believing this,  just thank Him in faith and learn to Rejoice all the time.
* Not easy.. But, accepting the reality of life, learn to rejoice in all situations.
* God can change every situation for your good.

23 JUNE 2014, WORD4ALL : EPAPHRODITUS

EPAPHRODITUS

# Meanwhile, I thought I should send Epaphroditus back to you.
# He is a
     * true brother,
     * co-worker, and
     * fellow soldier. And he was
     * your messenger to help me in my need.
# Welcome him in the Lord’s love and with great joy, and
# give him the honor that people like him deserve. (Phil 2:25, 29 NLT)

% Epaphroditus was
     # the delegate of the Christian community at Philippi,
     # sent with their gift to Paul during his first imprisonment
% Epaphroditus was a multifaceted person filled with the love of Christ. No ego or pride.
% On his arrival, Epaphroditus devoted himself to
"the work of Christ," both
     # as Paul's attendant and
     # as his assistant in missionary work
% He worked so hard risking his life that he had severe illness to the point of death. Yet he remained faithful.
% So Paul is sending the letter asking the church of Philippi to honour him since he deserves honor.

Lessons to learn:

* We should not run behind honor and recognition.
* Instead, with a humble heart, we should focus on the God given responsibilities diligently.
* Reward and honor will come from God in the right time.

21 JUNE 2014, WORD4ALL : WHAT MATTERS TO JESUS CHRIST

WHAT MATTERS TO JESUS CHRIST

All the others care only for themselves and not for what matters to Jesus Christ. (Phil 2:21 NLT)

* Unfortunately,  most of our lifestyle has become self centred.
* The demanding and  competitive corporate world is driving the people crazy
* Survival for thriving has taken the first priority, people seldom care for others.
* Exploiting the kind hearted by the crooked minded people has brought in genuine questions about caring others.

# But still we need to be selfless and do what best we can do without any weightage for the face value.
# Instead of looking at the genuiness of the beneficiaries, Let's look at the face of Jesus.
# So, extend all possible help to whoever ask, no matter whether the person asking help is a beggar or from a well to do family.
# Let's not judge or condemn people. Instead, let us look at Jesus and fulfil what He want us to do.
# Let's prioritise what is important to Him, and not what is convenient for us.

LET'S DO WHAT MATTERS TO HIM.

20 JUNE 2014, WORD4ALL : FAITHFUL SERVICE IS AN OFFERING TO GOD

FAITHFUL SERVICE IS AN OFFERING TO GOD

# But I will rejoice even if I lose my life, pouring it out like a liquid offering to God,
# just like your faithful service is an offering to God.
# And I want all of you to share that joy. (Phil 2:17 NLT)

* God expects His children to be faithful in every area of life..
* Our faithful service is an acceptable offering to God.
* Whatever we do (small or big), He expects us to be faithful, so as to lift us up to be rulers over many..
* We cannot cheat God or satisfy God just by giving money and kind as offering.
* Whether we give offering in cash or in kind, He can be satisfied only by our faithful service.
* Let's serve Him in our best possible way like;.
     % Caring for the poor and needy;
     % Helping the underprivileged by extending a helping hand;
     % Give livelihood training and helping others to get established in life;
     % Sharing in our resources, comforts and facilities;
     % Sharing our knowledge and experiences;
     % Voicing out for the week, widows and fatherless;
     % Delivering people from darkness and bondages by sharing the truth abt Jesus;
     % Praying for the sick and needy;
% Encouraging and motivating others etc...etc..
* Faithful service needs a sacrificial and selfless heart..

Are we faithful in serving Christ?

19 JUNE 2014, WORD4ALL : WORD OF LIFE

WORD OF LIFE

Hold firmly to the word of life;
(Phil 2:16 NLT)

* The key to eternal success is by following the footsteps of JESUS. He is the eternal life.
* Without holiness no one can see God.
* But, no man is perfect & holy like Jesus.
* Since Jesus is holy, we just need to follow His life & teachings to be like Him.
* The teachings of Jesus is found in the written word of God(Holy Bible) which is the word of life and is all that we need to look into, understand & follow.
* Do not leave this word of life. Let's cling on to it for a victorious life.

18 JUNE 2014, WORD4ALL : No COMPLAINS & ARGUMENTS

NO COMPLAINS & ARGUMENTS

# Do everything without complaining and arguing, so that no one can criticize you.
# Live clean, innocent lives as children of God,
# shining like bright lights in a world full of crooked and perverse people. ( Phil 2:14-15 NLT)

* When Jesus was falsely accused and was made to stand before different people in authority, He never argued.
* He willingly carried the cross without complaining, so that God's purpose in His life could be fulfilled.
* He was silent and went through the pain patiently without retaliating.
* In this crooked world, you may be going through similar trying situations. But as a Child of God, how are you reacting and handling the trying times?

LET'S TRY NOT TO COMPLAIN AND ARGUE DURING OUR TRYING TIMES.

14 JUNE 2014, WORD4ALL : RESULTS OF YOUR SALVATION

RESULTS OF YOUR SALVATION

Work hard
# to show the results of your salvation,
# obeying God with deep reverence and fear.
# For God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases Him (Phil 2:12-13 NLT)

Obedience to God with fear should be a natural phenomenon for those who had the experience of salvation.

If you love God, you should not take God's love for granted. Rather it should be shown through your life of Obedience to Him which will result in a Transformed life.

Let's show the results of our salvation not in words alone, also in living.

13 JUNE 2014, WORD4ALL : HUMILITY LEADS TO HONOR

HUMILITY LEADS TO HONOR

* Jesus took the humble position of a slave and was born as a human being.
* When He appeared in human form, He humbled himself in obedience to God and died a criminal’s death on a cross.
* Therefore, God elevated Him to the place of highest honor and gave Him the name above all other names,
* that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
* and every tongue declare that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
(Philippians 2:7-11 NLT)

# Jesus humbled Himself to the lowest level possible that God lifted Him to the Highest Honor.
# God always favors the humble hearted only.
# He is against the proud in heart.
# Lucifer was thrown down from heaven because of his pride
# Let's be careful in life and be humble like Jesus in our words and in deed.

DON'T BE PROUD.. But BE HUMBLE ALWAYS!!

12 JUNE 2014, WORD4ALL: ATTITUDE OF CHRIST

(PHIL 2:5-7, NLT)
  • You must have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had.
  • Though He was God, He did not think of equality with God as something to cling to.
  • Instead, He gave up His divine privileges ;

God's blessings in our life should upgrade us to be a blessing to others. Share & Give freely to others, from what God has given you freely.

FREELY YOU RECEIVED! FREELY YOU GIVE

Don't be intimidated

WORD4ALL:

Don’t be intimidated in any way by your enemies.
This will be a sign to them that they are going to be destroyed, but that you are going to be saved, even by God himself.
For you have been given not only the privilege of trusting in Christ but also the privilege of suffering for him.

GOD'S BATTLE

Oh11 Feb 2014, WORD4ALL: GOD'S BATTLE

(1 நாளாகமம் 5 : 22)  யுத்தம் தேவனால் நடந்தபடியினால் அநேகர் வெட்டுண்டு விழுந்தார்கள்;

(1 chronicles 5:22) Many of the hagrites were killed because it was God's battle.

Let's not become a casualty in the battle. God is leading a battle. we are chosen to enjoy the benefits of this war and not to be a victim.

It is a spiritual war. To enjoy the benefits, we should be led by the spirit and should be above the fleshy nature. else we too may get lost, hurt, wounded or even killed. 

We are living in the battle zone and in the epicentre of the battle where establishment of His kingdom (both personally/individual & in society) is the priority. Survival is possible only when we have the whole armour of God which includes

1. Helmet - Salvation
2. Chest plate/armour - Righteousness
3. Waist belt - Truth
4. Sandals - Readiness for the Gospel
5. Shield - Faith
6. Sword - God's word.

Let's be careful not to give room for fleshy natures like

# jealousy,
# hatreds,
# outbursts of anger, 
# envy,
# factions or divisions,
# quarrelling,
# selfishness,
# self righteous feeling (feeling that everyone else is wrong) leading to spiritual pride & arrogance,
# greed,
# bitterness,
# foolish talk and coarse joking,
# grumbling and unhealthy arguments,
# immorality,
# impure thoughts,
# eagerness for lustful pleasure etc..

If we belong to Christ, we must have crucified all these sinful fleshy natures to the cross and we should allow the Holy Spirit to control every area of our life producing the fruit of

# Love,❤️
# Joy,
# Peace,
# Patience,
# Kindness,
# Goodness,
# Faithfullness,
# Gentleness &
# Self-control.

Let us not become conceited or irritate one another or be jealous of one another.
